🌈Rare rainbow silk dress French Haute Couture Jean Patou 1970’s vintage

Depending on how you accessorize it, it will remain perfect- -under the moon or the sun -as formal or casual -4special occasion (wedding, prom…) -4a cruise or travel Flows & spreads around your body as you walk, dance & fly! On or off shoulders. See picture on the floor 4 outline. Live mannequin is 5 feet 7 inches. The rainbow is made of 4 pieces of fabric linked obliquely See picture on the floor. Both sides identical. The pale yellow short undergarment is what holds the “rainbow” and gives it shape around the collar. Was originally a size 8 as per label but it was substituted by a professional seamstress w/ a size L . It could be easily altered or substituted again to change the size as you do not see the garment under the rainbow. So it is virtually a “one size fits all” dress 😜 Rainbow is silk with some lines (see closeups). No label as to nature of fabric but it was sold as silk and it was priced accordingly! Label was removed by seamstress probably. Underdress is polyester.
