87elcam @willaalexa ago. I manufactured pieces of jewelry over 30 years ago some small some large, for both public, and wholesale trade. The business closed, I retired many years ago. Now my boxes of jewelry that sat around is up on Poshmark. It's like a garage sale after family rummaged though. I was the vendor of this item. All beads for sale have been restrung on silk.

87elcam Now to answer your query about Jade and how to know if it is real. There are different grades of Jade. This is grade C, it is real Jade, it is treated, bleached & dyed. There are many at home tests. Jade is very hard it is about 7 on the mohs, so take a piece of metal and try to scratch. Jade is cold to the touch. Jade has a unique sound when tapped, it resonates. Shine a ĺight through, you can see imperfections, but not air bubbles. There is all lot on the internet just Google.

87elcam @willaalexa To follow up. A visual inspection by an experienced person like myself. I even do quick, simple tests for authenticity to start, like acetone, or magnifying. But sometimes special equipment is needed. Unfortunately appraisals can be expensive, our area is $75 - $125.
