Real fur black vest with brocade

I consigned this piece years ago in New York. It’s real fur but I forget what kind, maybe rabbit. Super soft, warm and cool. The fur in the back of the neckline has rubbed a bit (see photos) but it’s not visible when worn and otherwise the fur is in excellent condition. Vest is reversible with pockets on both sides. There is some discolouration on the blue brocade side.
