The vibrant colors and intricate floral design adorned with four medallions baring the Chinese characters with the message “may you enjoy boundless longevity” [萬, 壽, 無, and 疆 (wàn shòu wú jiāng)], finished with a Chinese meander border around the top of the bowl.
