Red and Black Vase, Red Over Black 10" Vase, Danesi Arts Pottery, 1960s Fat Lava

This large Mid Century Fat Lava vase has glossy black underglaze layered over with a glossy red drippy "fat lava" glaze that, starting from the rim of the piece, runs down forming this subtly textured pooling surface where shiny glazes become one. The inside of the vase is also well glazed. It was made by a pottery in Canada, Danesi Arts. I is approx. 10 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches wide and is nicely proportioned. It is in very good condition with no cracks, chips or crazing; only some small surface scratches. Please see all the photos. Treat yourself or give as a gift.
