Red stone Bi Disc on metal Stand, hand polished decorative Asian home decor

A stone polished Bi Disc, on a black metal stand, the stand was made in Indonesia. The disc can be easily taken off the stand and was likely made in China within the last 50 years. "Bi discs are ancient Chinese artifacts, flat / donut shaped circles with a central hole. They first appeared during the Neolithic period and are often found in the graves of high-ranking individuals. Later traditions associated the circular discs with heaven, while their square counterparts (cong) symbolized the earth. Originally plain, later discs from the Zhou and Han dynasties were ornately carved" The material of the disc is possibly fossiliferous limestone or marble. It is in good shape (there is a little natural discoloured spot to the edge as pictured - not a chip) The surfaces feel hand polished and has a slight texture to it, rather than machine sanded absolute flat.
