Replika-03PY blue leather & nylon wedge hi-top sneakers, EU40, EUC

I can't find much evidence that Replika-03PY ever existed apart from a few photos on Google images and some very obscure Eastern European and Japanese web sites; nonetheless, they are an Italian brand of sneakers that so cleverly managed to disguise the hidden wedge that I bought this pair thinking they were flat sneakers. Oh, that's a cool looking pair of flat sneakers, I thought, they have a side zipper, check, and I love the colour. They arrived, and much to my chagrin, there's a 2" hidden wedge stashed in there. You can sort of tell it's there when they're actually on your feet, but at first glance it's seriously hard to tell. Unfortunately, with the wedge in place, I could barely get my feet into them, so I tried with a memory foam insole instead of the wedge, but my toes were right up against the end of the shoe. I wore them around the house for a bit in the hope that I could make them work for me (hence the EUC), but alas, these were not meant for me. I'd say these should fit a size 8.5 to 9 foot quite nicely. And if you're vertically challenged and would like some stealthy extra leg length, these will do the job very nicely.
