Perfect for transitional season wear.
Retro style from the early 1960’s.
Something that the elegant Jackie Kennedy-Onassis would have chosen (see her picture in 1961 with a large collar and large buttons)!
Casual or business like depending on how you accessorize & pair.
Classy with its large collar, smart lines and mix of yarns: the black and white ones are mixed with green ones with subtle changes in shades (mainly warm greens). See close up for better idea of the knitting and yarns and see collages for the hue variation.
Comfy, hypo allergic fibres with just enough wool added to them to keep you warm (29 percent). It is lined only in the area of the shoulders.
It closes at the top only with a snap hidden by a very large black button that was the fashion in the 1960's.
Condition: Very minimal piling. Price accounts for this minor flaw.
Measurements in inches when flat and approximate:
Shoulders:16.5
Pit to pit: 18
Length:20
The mannequin is a size very small (size 6) so the jacket is a bit too big for it. Sized a medium petite but would also be nice on a size 12.
See label pictures for fabric and care.
Knackmixing pairing: green is one of the few colours that is difficult to pair…with green! It is nicer if you pair separately warm greens together and cool green together. Cool greens have blue undertones and warm greens have yellow undertones! The black or the white would be a good choice. So would be light warm gray with a yellow undertone or warm tones of beige.
