Rivest vintage modernist enamel flower brooch / pin

Québec was a hotbed of modernist enamel jewelry design in the 1970s. Like their contemporaries de Passillé-Sylvestre, Gaston and Maida Rivest were a husband and wife duo who created bold, colourful enamel jewelry. This stunning floral enamel brooch features white fluted flowers and gold leaves on a deep rich red background. The brooch is signed by the artists "Rivest Fait au Québec, Made in Canada" on the reverse. The pin and its C-clasp closure are in pristine condition with no signs of wear.
