This pressed glass plate is for those interested in the Boer War. Roberts was the commander of British forces during the Second Boer War (1899-1902). He captured Pretoria, the capital city of the Transvaal on the 31st of May 1900 and entered the city on the 5th of June.
It is just under 10 inches diameter and there are no major flaws to note other than age-related wear and manufacturing flaws such as lines (straws) in the glass. What appears to be a small chip in one of the scallops is a bubble. The bottom of this dish is quite crooked. I am unsure if that was intentional by the manufacturers, but it sits at a nice angle to be viewed from the front.
