In the summer of 2010, Douglas Coupland, in collaboration with Roots Canada, designed a well-received collection of summer streetwear for men and women, and a line of leather and non-leather accessories. The collection was sold in the avant garde clothing store Colette in Paris in September 2010. Douglas Copeland is an artist and author famous for popularizing the term Gen X and Mcjob.
This Tshirt Dress is based on the TV test pattern, which may evoke nostalgia in Gen Xers who grew up in the days of Analog TV. The test pattern was useful for the calibration of home television sets as well as television studio equipment, so the image was routinely broadcast outside hours of programming.
The dress is made with organic Cotton. This is a great chance to get a piece of art from a significant Canadian artist!
