Royal Adderley Newfoundland Tartan Teacup & Saucer |Ridgway Potteries Fine China

A wonderful representation of the Newfoundland tartan can be found on this Royal Adderley teacup and saucer. A great gift for someone who lives away and wants to remember the kindness and uniqueness that is home, or perhaps to add to your own collection. Made in England in the 1950s by Ridgway Potteries for their Royal Adderley line, this fine bone china set commemorates Newfoundland. It showcases the Newfoundland tartan, the coat of arms which is the second oldest in Canada, and the official flower of Newfoundland, the flowering pitcher plant. The tartan and flowers are also featured on the inside of the cup. The flawless gold gilt adorns the rims of the saucer as well as the foot, rim, and handle of the teacup. The teacup and saucer are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, wear, crazing or repairs. A very noble addition to any collection.
