This little Royal Crown Derby bone china paperweight is titled "Derby Dormouse" and was an exclusive gift for the Royal Crown Derby Collectors Guild in 2008. It is in the form of a sweet little Dormouse sitting up and holding a large seed in its little paws. It has baby blue and gold fur, blue eyes and is decorated with berries, leaves and hops and has a gold stopper. Excellent condition with original presentation gift box. Royal Crown Derby launched its first animal paperweights in a range of five birds and a rabbit at Chatsworth House in 1981. The creatures were beautifully sculpted by Robert Jefferson of Poole pottery fame, before being hand-decorated with the firm’s signature Imari pattern and highlighted with 22 carat gold.
