This is an adorable bonus piece offered to the Royal Crown Derby Collectors Guild members in 2000. It is simply titled "Puppy" and is a sleeping puppy with red and gold markings, it would be a perfect match for the "American Spaniel". It is in mint condition but does not have a box. Royal Crown Derby launched its first animal paperweights in a range of five birds and a rabbit at Chatsworth House in 1981. The creatures were beautifully sculpted by Robert Jefferson of Poole pottery fame, before being hand-decorated with the firm’s signature Imari pattern and highlighted with 22 carat gold.
