The Olde Avesbury pattern comes from an original pattern book noted as 1932 and housed in the Royal Crown Derby archives. The design itself is one of the most popular and has been adapted from an embroidery pattern by painter, Albert Gregory. Olde Avesbury design is a celebration of birds and flowers, combining the natural and the exotic in one beautiful motif. These settings are the Red Aves colour way which is an orangey red with hand painted 22kt gold trim. There are 2 settings available and each setting is 5 pieces with every piece marked XXX or XXXI which indicates production in 1967/1968.
