This is a small Royal Doulton Dickensware creamer/jug featuring the character Tony Weller from Charles Dickens' novel The Pickwick Papers. This is part of the Dickens Ware series by Royal Doulton with a pattern number D5175. Dates to the 1930's and the series was designed by Charles Noke. There is a cream coloured background with a village scene and the portly character Tony Weller in a green coat carrying a horse whip. Trimmed in green.
