Two salad plates as pictured. This pattern was produced in England by Royal Doulton from 1940 until 1961. Backstamp reads - "From an original drawing by Cutts, Circa 1840."
Hard to believe these pieces are more than 60 years old. Bright and shiny. Colors vibrant. No chips or cracks, no crazing. They do have barely noticeable flaws, see detailed descriptions below and view photos.
Salad plates measure 8 5/8" in diameter.
Plate #1 has a very tiny spot at 5 o'clock and a barely noticeable one at 7. Plate #2 has a couple of pin sized specks at about 4 o'clock, you really have to look to see them. Great items to round out a set.
These plates are lovely and would look great displayed on a wall or in a china cabinet.
Even with the small imperfections these pieces are still beautiful and would make wonderful additions to your dinnerware set.
