Royal Winston is an English brand earthenware and china, made by Grimwades limited a stoke on Trent based company founded by Leonard Lumsden Grimwade and his elder brother Sidney Richard Grimwade in 1885. By the WW I the firm employed around 10,000 people. In 1928 the first Royal Winton pattern was produced, including their new chintz designed for their pottery became famous and they official changed the name to Royal Winton in 1930.
