◦ Made in England this c. 1940's footed Royal Winton Grimwades ivory colored leaf shaped ceramic dish is decorated with beautiful embossed hand painted blue and purple pansies. This antique dish could be used as a serving plate , a candy dish , a catch all dish , a bread plate , a decorative display piece for your china cabinet, or how ever you would like to use it! There is crazing but otherwise in great shape for its age.
◦ Royal Winton is an English earthenware and china company, made by Grimwades Limited founded by Leonard Grimwade and his brothers Sidney and Edward Grimwade in 1885. The name "Royal Winton Ware" was in use from as early as 1897 it was around 1929 that 'Royal Winton' was introduced as a recognizable trade name by Grimwades Ltd. In 1964 Grimwades Ltd was acquired by the Howard Pottery Group and the business traded as Royal Winton.
