Rösti 1L Jug MCM Denmark Erik Lehmann Design Melamine

This iconic Danish MCM Rosti 2511 utensil holder or jug. Made of melamine and has a rubber non-slip ring on the bottom. This jug is in very good vintage condition. The rubber rings at the bottom show some discolouration due to age (see photos). This classic Denmark design originated around 1947 by Heiner Boberg and Erik Lehmann as they experimented with melamine in the early post WWII days. Bright optimistic colours and handy and practical design that was sturdy and useful were the goals and their line of mixing bowls have been popular ever since. Brilliantly, each bowl has a replaceable rubber ring on the base to keep it safely in place while mixing. As with any vintage piece, this item is used and may have some imperfections consistent with age and use.
