🍷Rétro moiré burgundy+black taffeta long skirt with train-vintage Fr 1990

Formal Semi-formal Burgundy is the hot colour for Fall-Winter fashion seasons. Long skirt with unique effect: at the front it looks like a long pencil skirt but at the back, with its train, it spells retro elegance and originality. The « moiré » in the taffeta fabric,defined by the mix of burgundy and black, gives it light and movement. The fabric is naturally crinkled. Retro loosely inspired from fashion towards the end of the 19th century when trains were popular. Also Schiaparelli designer did some similar skirt lines in the 1920-1930's. The pictures were taken front, side, 3/4 and back view. Closes with zipper at the back. It was professionally modified at the waist to make it longer by wearing it lower towards the hips. Purchased in early 1990’s. In the process, the labels were lost. Fabric feels like polyester. So is the lining. Fully lined except in the area where waist was enlarged. Hue will vary with the light. the real thing is true burgundy (no pink or red).
