Rucoline brown double-zipped lace-up mid-heel combat boots, EU40, EUC

For those who wouldn't be caught dead without heels, I recommend this unique pair of mid-heeled combat boots by Rucoline, that feature brand-stamped brass hardware, dual brass zippers, and tone-matched bootlaces (including a spare pair). I don't think I've ever had another boot that was so impervious to salty slush - I had 2 pairs of boots from the 2012 collection, and I don't know what was done to this leather, but they never even got wet. Of course, they're Italian, so they're not really designed for warmth exactly, but they will keep your feet dry, comfortable, and ever so stylish. Especially if your style is a mash-up of Edwardian steampunk & militaristic depression era chic. They're size 40; they fit my size 9.5 feet like a glove, with no room to add thick socks, but they should work well for a size 9 or even a narrow 9.5. The lug sole and heel are solid molded rubber - there's a slight flex, but these are sturdy boots. I haven't worn them in several years, but they have so much character, they deserve to be worn. This pair was worn less than a handful of times and show little wear apart from slight creasing in the leather uppers. They have been treated with leather conditioner while in storage, so the leather is still supple.
