Russian Cityscape Lacquer Box

Russian Box: Russian lacquer jewelry box made from paper mache with layer upon 100’s of layers of lacquer. Each one of these boxes takes 3 months to make because of all the layers. The image is of the Kremlin Red Sauare in Moscow with St Basil’s Cathedral in the background. It is a statement piece of art work all by itself. I bought this in Moscow over 30 years from an outdoor artisan market. It measures 3.25” wide, 4.5” long and 1.5” tall. Asking $40.
