SET OF 2 VINTAGE “CAT CRY” TOY FROM JAPAN 50’s 60’s Beautiful Condition RARE!

Hey everyone! Up on offer here is a pair of 2 “Cat Cry” toys from Japan in the late 50’s, early 60’s. They are made of a paper label glued over a cardboard tube with a sliding mechanism inside that is supposed to go “aaaaaaaaaaaawhoooooooooooo” when you turn it upside down. Pretty sure we all know the noise I’m describing. We all had some kind of toy that annoyed the hell out of our poor parents. Lol anyhow, they no long make the noise as the rubber gasket has long perished over the 60+ years they’ve been around. That’s normal for toys of this vintage that feature natural rubber or thin rice paper etc. The killer thing they have going for them is that they’re basically mint, have killer images and vibrant colours on them that look amazing on a shelf or in a collector’s cabinet. And they’re cats. C’mon. The colour is still bright and pops on them. The light might be dim in the pics but I tried to show the best I could. Couldn’t find another example online or anywhere of the same toy. Not even a picture. I do antiques and collectibles and I’ve only come across these ones in my travels. I’ve seen one sort of similar on eBay but it was much newer and not nearly as cool. Very cool and unique. Each toy tube is 2 by 2” which I showed in the pic with the measurements. They will ship bubble wrapped in a small sturdy box so they arrive perfect!
