It says on the tag on the interior "Leather and made made" so I think it's suede? or leather. either way the material is very soft. Definitely have some wear on them BUT they were always used indoors so the bottoms are very clean. The shoes are in great shape. I did photograph the wear on the heel. Men's 8.5
