@torysfinds hi- i'm confused. Authentic Louis Vuitton bags do not have inside labels. Only stamped date codes

I see yours has a date code but the Newer ones now have a tag seen into the lining in a seam with the two letters and 4 numbers.

@torysfinds it depends on the bag &the year. I just returned from Europe where I bought a Louis bag at the Paris flagship store &at Harrods in London.If the bags have the thin canvas you can pull away sometimes there will be a little leather tag with the date code but bags that are all leather inside just have the stamp.

@torysfinds You also need to know how to identify the codes. In the 90's through 2006 The country code is followed by a staggered month/year. VI is France's code followed by 0949 =April 99 which correlates w/when these bags were released. I had 4 of them now I have 2 left. And I'm keeping my red one. 2007 to now it's the code followed by weeks/year. You can Google all of this too- it's quite interesting :-D

yeah that's what I have cuz the pochette has that short one so I bought their long one. I'm confused, I asked another person selling this if I could do that and she said no... so weird

@meeshyminaj maybe it depends on the strap? Because the short strap multi pochette I have, and you really have to jam that clasp onto the handle. Maybe the longer straps have a different sort of clasp system like my moms
