Just confirming your flat lay measurement so I understand correctly. Waist is 26” flatlay so 52” around? That’s greater than a size 4. Am I misunderstanding the measurement?

@constanceme hi, you are correct. Lay flat from one side to another is 26” and 52” round. I found even though the tag says size 4 it’s quite larger than that. I wear size 6 and this fits me when I wear high waisted.
Vintage sizing, am I right?
