I don't believe the super pink spots on this sphere to be chips as they are flush with the sphere, instead I believe they are ruby inclusions given how they reaction to UV to Vividly. Please note I'm unable to photograph the UV reaction as the light makes the camera to bight and it washes out the UV. You can however, see the pink spots in the video in this post.
