◦ Two vintage Salem China & Co Imperial Service floral dinner plates (sold together) featuring a beautiful floral arrangement surrounded by a wide green band with gold filigree and a light gold trim around the rim of the plates. Some light scratches on center of plate, but only visible at certain angle. These dinner plates are excellent condition for their age, perfect additions to your vintage tableware collection!
◦ The Salem China Company out of Salem, Ohio was founded in 1898 by Pat & John McNichol, Dan Cronin, and William Smith- all from East Liverpool, Ohio and was sold to F.A. Sebring of Sebring, Ohio in 1918. From 1898 until 1960 the company was engaged in both manufacturing and distribution but after 1960 it's function has been distribution only. Imperial Service plates were decorated with a wide array of decals. The wide rims were often given elaborate gold stamps over various colors such as green, maroon, cobalt blue, yellow, pink, brown, and light blue.
