Thanks!

I always take a video when packaging items

mahalia1980
This has happened to me a few times and Posh always takes the buyers side, always. Been on posh for years and have 937+ 5 stars and still the buyer has always gotten what they want, it’s EXTREMELY discouraging but Posh doesn’t care, as long as they get their 20%.
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@finderkeeperlux np !! just trying to keep the community safe thank you for the support 💕
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@tintilla thank you :) has it worked for you before? I even included a video in my listing and I feel like that is not even good enough for them.
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@mahalia1980 wow and you have 1600 listing sold. congrats girl 👏🏻Do you have any advice for new sellers to kind of watch out for scammers beforehand or not much nothing to do to prevent this?
Jan 04Reply

mahalia1980
@skudro I don’t bother with people who ask very evasive vague questions because then they contest item not as described. If someone asks 8000 questions, I don’t sell to them either because they’re not picky and will be a pain. I’m not hard up for the money but, could use it like anyone else so, if I get a bad vibe, I just bow out.
Jan 04Reply

tintilla
@skudro sorry to hear that from you but I saw a horror story online. So what I did I had my cousin take a video of me showing the item then packaging it in an envelope with a sticker on top so you can see it was not tampered
Jan 04Reply

hoomen
Thank you I will beware. How exactly does it work for this buyer. The buyer would have to return the purse so what do they get out of it? I did have one buyer destroy a sweater they bought of course poshmark sided with the buyer my guess is it didn’t fit and it was the only way to get a refund. It was not worth the fight. But on an LV purse it is worth the fight. Oh another thing to be aware of buyers will open cases claiming sellers sent them an empty box (not the item).
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@mahalia1980 omh I know exactly what you mean I had that with my juicy bag. It’s sold for 500 and I was getting ready to package it and they asked me what kind of free gifts I can give them and then on top of that they kept asking multiple questions about things that were already in the listing description so I cancelled and then it led them to make fake accounts and try to tarnish. My name in the juicy community was so bad.
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@mahalia1980 Same here I’m selling a few good items I don’t reach for anymore but if they are going to come back to me ruined anyway I might as well not be on this platform anymore.
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@tintilla I am going to do that next time thank you
sm! great idea! I am still really reluctant to still sell on this platform but if you think that I should still try and sell to other people on here then I will keep my listings up. I am dealing with a few sites right now, and I’ve never had this issue before
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@hoomen see that’s the thing I can understand for fit, but still that’s a really bad thing to do to get a refund. He should be going from the listing description and the pictures, especially if we take photos of all angles of the item. I have no clue what you had again but I feel like it was a huge case of buyers remorse and she damaged the product in a way that she knew she would get to return after all her other claims failed with support.
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@hoomen wait people are returning empty boxes as well and getting the refund right away I assume because I noticed they got refunded right away. I mean even with the 20% they take take off. I thought that we were safe from these type of scams, but it’s almost not worth selling luxury goods on here if that’s the case.
Jan 04Reply

hoomen
@skudro so crappy, people can be terrible. I have lots of sales and top ratings, I find I am still having to be careful who I sell higher end items too.
Jan 04Reply

mahalia1980
@hoomen couldn’t agree more sadly. 💔
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@hoomen does the ambassador status matter when it comes to returns? Also, congrats how was it building your closet on this platform as opposed to other ones
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@mahalia1980 I know what a waste of a gorgeous bag😭
Jan 04Reply

hoomen
@skudro it has helped a few times. Like when a buyer claimed I sent them an empty box. PM did sided with me. Some of the claims I just gave up on. The sweater that was destroyed I only sold it for $7. It was not worth the fight for $2.85. Other claims have been pretty dumb like I wasted too much paper wrapping the items. Since I started watching who I sell too I have not had a claim open in over a year. :)
Jan 04Reply

skudro
@hoomen amazing thank you for the advice and I also forgot about the star ratings as well that they have on here like similar to some other platforms so yeah I can see people doing a lot of dumb complaints about that and taking off stars, but I don’t think they count for anything on this platform luckily lol
Jan 05Reply

hoomen
@skudro it’s all good. If you have a buyer giving an offer for you. Just check their profile see how active they are if they sell stuff, if they have good ratings. :) lol it’s like doing research on a person before accepting their offer
Jan 05Reply

i_cart_u_28
@hoomen Agree to this. This is what I've been doing before accepting offers or vice versa.
Jan 06Reply

skudro
@i_cart_u_28 yeah that’s a good idea to check the person’s profile and see how active they are or if they have other love notes possibly
Jan 07Reply

The reason I started writing "no returns accepted " I sold a boys suit very clean and it came with a huge stain ,which was very unfair ,obviously buyer went to a party with her son wearing my son's suit for free ,Poshmark gave her back her money and I learnt a lesson, be safe Posh family some people are up to no good.
Jan 07Reply

skudro
@consom wow that’s unacceptable! I’m really sorry that happened to you and it’s really scary how many scammers are allowed on the platform! I even heard about one girl who told me that someone shipped her back an empty box. At least this post brings positive people of this community together and I am so grateful for that at least. thank you so much for sharing your story with me.
Jan 07Reply

skudro
@consom We all have to stick together through this maybe Poshmark will tighten their return policies if enough people complain. 🙏 💕✌️
Jan 07Reply

consom
@skudro Having to also record the item before it is shipped can help I saw one comment saying they record before shipping
Jan 07Reply

jasminelopez001
@tintilla Just started doing this as well. Lots of scammers are abusing the Poshmark system to rip people off.
Jan 26Reply

jasminelopez001
@mahalia1980 This is unfortunate. It’s sad to see more isn’t done to stop this.
Jan 26Reply

jasminelopez001
@hoomen In my case the buyer didn’t send the items I sold them and instead put a bunch of used clothing in a box and shipped it back. Scammers are aware of Poshmark guidelines and know how to rip sellers off.
Jan 26Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 no way!!! so sorry that happened to you thats so messed up 😱 !!! were you compensated after? I got $100 in credits and a too bad from posh! post who scammed you so I can report them. We have to start exposing these scammers. its crazy they can send back whatever and get refunded right away 🤦♀️
Jan 26Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro I know right? Absolutely crazy. I’m still disputing the case with Poshmark but I’m hoping they realize that I was the one that was scammed and not the other way around. I have been using Poshmark since 2019 and never had anything like this happen before. It’s scary how many scammers are out there.
Jan 27Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro $100 in credits is not enough. Posh needs to do better to keep buyers and sellers safe from these scams! The account is (sierrasaccount). It’s a woman’s account but the account is run by a man and his name was on the shipping label. Sketchy but at the time I didn’t think much of it. Thanks for exposing these scammers. If posh won’t do anything, we need to stick together to prevent these scammers from getting away.
Jan 27Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 thats so crazy girl omg I would freak!! If they don’t settle for credits keep bothering them. I feel like its all automated at this point. they basically ignored my requests but if its a smaller amount they should release your earnings. this makes me so upset fr read thus thread so many people have issues on here I am already on other platforms cant risk it
Jan 27Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 ikr also wtf 😳 i am even wondering if these scammers are actually in canada !! I even got. Message on here saying my item was sold from someone in a bundle lol with a fake link 😂 i will report her/him for you 🤣 but ya seriously for a LV bag I cant repair so upsetting. lmk how it goes good luck babe 🤞🏻🙏🫶🏻
Jan 27Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro It’s so upsetting. I do hope I get my earnings released and then I’m blocking and reporting the seller. After this situation, I’m recording all my items before they ship to prevent this from happening to me in the future. I’m so upset that you had a bad experience as well. It sucks becuase you sell luxury items. I tried looking up the account to report it but don’t see it?
Jan 27Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro Mabye the scammer changed their name? A lot of them do that after they have been exposed to try and scam others again. I wish these scammers would just leave people alone. It would have been better to just leave you with your bag if they couldn’t afford it rather than damaging it and ruining the item.
Jan 27Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 i will check if its still up hopefully they took it down!! what ended up happening? same here try w hat no t as well its more safe for luxury!! hope it worked out and you got more than credits this platform is a literal playground for scammers 🤦♀️ and they punish us honest sellers!
Jan 30Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 make sure they refund you fr who does that?? an empty box I would be so pissed off !!!
Jan 30Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 i know at her age smh she should know what she can afford 😂 it was a beautiful bag made up multiple excuses (not even what she opened the case for) then got desperate
Jan 30Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 omg if Sierra is Robert the account is still up 😭 what the heck reported again lady that scammed me is also still on here we cant win. thank u for reaching out appreciate you but get your money from posh girl!! 😅
Jan 30Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro Poshmark just got back to me and reimbursed me the cost of the item. I’m glad I won this case but I know many don’t. Plus, I had to reschedule out to them 3 times before getting a proper response. It’s disgusting that scammers are getting away with this. I was baffled when I got a box that was as light as feathers.
Jan 30Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro Exactly! If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it. It’s so simple. People work hard for their money to buy items and when it’s time to sell it, they have to put up with these scammers and potentially losing their money. If anything, she should just buy a knockoff instead of ruining your items!
Jan 30Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro Yes! The account is still up and they keep reposhing other people items. Probably from other people they have scammed. I’ll be reporting these accounts, everyday until Posh does something! Thanks for your encouragement and I hope everything goes well for you on your side too.
Jan 30Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 wow thankfully you got it back!! I know add them in a post to warn others if you want I can share it as well. thats crazy the nerve haha plus you habe their address as well. I’m not saying you would do anything, but if someone’s crazy they might. ya, my advice is do not list anything high and done here unless you take videos.
Jan 31Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 exactly but the problem was is she said the item was not authentic first, so I got her a COA which was out of my own pocket and then when I proved it was authentic, she damaged the bag to get the return
Jan 31Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 oh no, that’s crazy. Keep an eye out to make sure none of your items are being re-polished and I will also contact Poshmark if they do it that way it’s two accounts flagging them
Jan 31Reply

skudro
reposhed haha i am doing talk to text sorry 😅
Jan 31Reply

skudro
@jasminelopez001 like I normally wouldn’t ruin somebody’s name or reputation, but you see the pictures on this listing. That’s crazy to do something like that to someone else’s property. I cried a bit, that’s LV. 😭😭😭🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Jan 31Reply

jasminelopez001
@consom That’s terrible. Did Posh refund you?
Feb 05Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro That sucks. That’s the thing. Sometimes these scammers ask questions and make it seem as if they actually want the item and then scam you once the order delivers.
Feb 05Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro Oh I am. I just posted their account on my page so nobody else buys from them. Their page is super sketchy and all their items are reposhes, makes me wonder if they are scamming others to re-sell items.
Feb 05Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro Thanks for all your help 💝😊 your the best!
Feb 05Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro I don’t blame you. LV isn’t cheap. You sell nice items that many would pay a pretty penny for. You could have sold that to a genuine buyer and made more. It sucks.
Feb 05Reply

jasminelopez001
@skudro It’s okay 😂😂
Feb 05Reply

consom
@jasminelopez001 no they refunded her because I had no proof the suit was clean, that is the main reason I mention no returns accepted after that incident , but from sales I can actually give Poshmark the name so they can investigate and check maybe she is doing this to some sellers , I believe Poshmark needs to take these complaints seriously for future purposes .
Feb 05Reply

jasminelopez001
@consom that sucks. Posh needs to do better to protect honesty sellers from these scams. Fortunately, I had proof but if I didn’t I would have lost my money. It’s not fair and unfortunately these accounts seem to not get taken down.

Hi I just came across this listing on your closet and I’m so surprised that this happens! Thank you for posting this and warning others. What other platforms do you sell on or trust? I had no idea Poshmark would side with such scammers. I really thought we were safe as long as we did our due diligence. Thanks again.
Feb 24Reply

skudro
@misc202 hi thank you so much for the support. I pulled 90% of my listings off of here and what not is good and de po p has a good return policy as well and they protect the sellers. I am so disappointed. I never got reimbursed for the order, all they did was offer me $100 in credits. But I’m so happy that this post received as much attention as it did to raise awareness and just keep sharing this post :)
Feb 24Reply

skudro
@misc202 also read some of the other comments. Some people got back items that weren’t even the original items they sent back or empty boxes. Poshmark has become a place for scammers at least I found it out early before I shipped out any other high valued items. Stay safe on here ❤️😊
Feb 24Reply

misc202
@skudro It is truly disappointing. I just shared this post and will again. $100 is not acceptable as your compensation.
I could not make out the two platforms you listed. Can you resend them? Thx & safe selling! 🙏🏼🙂
