Agility is the key benefit of these trekking or light alpine boots. The waterproof membrane keeps your feet dry on bushy and damp approaches and the custom fit is a boon for fast-moving ridgeline scrambles. They're more breathable than a 4-season alpine boot, but are compatible with crampons, so you can boot across a pocket glacier or quickly ascend a deep moat or 'shrund’. EUC/no flaws/very light wear on soles. These were my backup boots when I worked in the mountains, but now I’m at a desk job and don’t need a second pair of hiking boots. Size EU39.5/US8, but I find Scarpa fits about a half size small (I am normally a 38/7.5). Waterproof and crampon compatible. Purchased at MEC for around $500 after tax.
