Schmid Duck Decoy Ceramic Music Box Mallard Moonlight Serenade Hand Painted 1982

Vintage Schmid mallard duck music box from 1982. Its green head, yellow bill, and ruddy brown plumage looks just like a real duck, as if its ready to fly right off the shelf. The detailing is actually very impressive, much like a duck decoy, with the black tail feathers individually splayed with brush strokes. Upon the base is a wooden cover over the music box, which, when turned, plays Moonlight Serenade, a wonderful song by Glenn Miller & His Orchestra, a classic swing ballad. It measures about 13 inches long by 6 inches tall. In excellent condition, with a few light marks. No chips or cracks. Please see images for condition details.
