Scottish sterling silver mid-century brooch with glass amethyst and agates

Stunning vintage Scottish sterling silver flower brooch features a prong-set faceted oval glass amethyst surrounded by colourful half moon slices of agate glass. The silver setting is beautifully hand engraved. Signed on reverse with full set of sterling silver hallmarks for Glasgow, Scotland 1955 and the maker’s mark WBS (Ward Brothers). This large pin is in excellent vintage condition and closes with a secure clasp. Measurements (approximate): 1 7/8” x 1 3/4”
