In the old days traditional waterproofs were made by coating heavy canvas with linseed oil, tar or similar. Seasalt took this inspiration and decided to weather proof their own organic canvas. But instead of using tar, it was given a more hi-tec treatment that means it's both water resistant and breathable, making it very comfortable to wear.
