This is a Seiko chronograph from May 1983.
Apart from being a beautiful timepiece, it is a horologically-significant model as the 7A28, 7A38, and 7A48 models were the first analog watches capable of timing to the 10th of a second!
The 7A48 models were the most complex as they incorporated a Moonphase feature in addition to the pointer date and chronograph functions.
This watch was overhauled about 5 years ago, and that means the pushers function flawlessly (they typically get gummed up with grime over the years), and the crystal is perfect as it was replaced. The gaskets for the 3 pushers were also replaced, as well as the gasket for the rear screw-down cover.
The only gasket that was NOT replaced was for the crown.
As with ALL vintage watches, I would not take it in the water without having it tested first!
This watch is about 39-40mm in diameter and is pictured on my 7-1/2" wrist.
Good examples of these models fetch $750+.
