snachtegaele @arianaa849 Hope this isn't too late....this message is a scam! 👆👆👆

snachtegaele @arianaa849 These scammers are targeting new accounts and once they have your email, they pretend to be poshmark and try to get your banking info....

arianaa849 @snachtegaele I realized this as well that it was a definite scam, is there a way to report this to poshmark?
May 16Reply
snachtegaele
snachtegaele @arianaa849 Honestly, you CAN report them but it's like, you report one and 15 more seem to show up....best you can do is block them, you can flag their account though, I just don't know how much good that does because I've reported accounts months ago that are still up and running..

snachtegaele @arianaa849 There's 3 black dots on the top right of someone's profile, and you can report them from there 👍

arianaa849 @snachtegaele so if a buyer buys your item, how do you receive payment, can you please clarify?
May 16Reply
snachtegaele
snachtegaele @arianaa849 They absolutely must purchase the item off of poshmark, you'll never get payment through email, and once someone purchases it, you'll get an email saying it's been purchased and directions to ship it (and the item will say sold)....then once the person receives the item, they accept it and it releases your funds.

snachtegaele You'll see on the bottom right of your own poshmark account your user name and there's a drop down list of things including, "my sales", "my balance" etc.....you'll be able to see purchases and sales in this section

arianaa849 @snachtegaele and does this occur immediately once someone purchased? And just to clarify we shouldn’t be receiving an email from the buyer once they purchase the items, correct?
May 16Reply
snachtegaele
snachtegaele @arianaa849 Correct! and yes the only email you will receive is a poshmark email that says "congratulations - someone purchased your item", but you will NEVER have to input any of your own banking info
May 16Reply
snachtegaele
snachtegaele @arianaa849 Sometimes there's zero communication between you and a buyer, sometimes people have questions about an item....but any time someone tries to take the transaction off of poshmark, tries to get your email or cell number, it's 100% a scam

arianaa849 @snachtegaele i hope poshmark provides this info for first time buyers and sellers because their is a lot of scammers on their app

snachtegaele @arianaa849 Yeah I know hey, it's really blown up the last few months, never used to be this way.. it's too bad.
