Methylthioninium chloride, commonly called methylene blue/albastru de metil, is a salt used as a dye and as a medication when the blood cannot deliver oxygen where it is needed in the body, antidote for cyanide and carbon monoxide poisoning. This medicine is to be given only by or under the supervision of a doctor. Methylene blue is a thiazine dye. It’s been purchased in Europe a few years ago and I have used it as fabric and hair dye, because it makes beautiful shades of blue and turquoise. However I have purchased too many bottles and because it’s so concentrated to dye something you just need a few drops diluted in water. Selling these as a set of 3. Brand new, never opened. ebe22 @amandaanguish Hi Amanda, I've actually tried it. Using medical gloves and a cotton pad, dip into this liquid (or squirt a few drops onto pad from the bottle) and apply directly to the hair. Works best on light color hair (blonde, light brown or bleached hair). For more color intensity apply as many times until you are happy with the result. On my light brown hair it lasted for 1.5 months, faded with every wash until it was completely gone. A natural and toxic-free alternative to dye...
