Set of 3 Vintage Roy Kirkham Prunus Fruit Mugs 1970’s Bone China Made in England

An Exclusive Design by Roy Kirkman, this lovely set of three 1970’s bone china mugs featuring fruit such as cherries, plums and peaches; florals and butterflies. They also delicately display florals along the handle. Company Information: Historically, fine bone china was developed by Josiah Spode in the early 1790s with his expressed intention to exceed the highest quality porcelain products being imported from China at that time. His fine bone china clay (or “body”) was made with a blend of bone ash (44%), feldspar (30%) and kaolin clay (26%) to give the product an exquisite translucent appearance; yet it was found to be stronger and more chip resistant than all other porcelain products available. Every Roy Kirkham ceramic product is made using a recognised premium grade fine bone china body following the same principles perfected two hundred and thirty years ago. This set is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing, etc. Measurements: 4” inches height x 2 7/8” inches diameter x 4 1/4” inches length with handle Vintage china often has small manufacturing flaws and/or signs of use; these do not affect the integrity of the item but is something to be mindful of when purchasing.
