Shameful. This should not be sold for profit.

@jenn25565 They're sold in dozens of antique shops across the country.

@jimstwilliams it’s still shameful and immoral to sell those. If not illegal.

@lynnecharbon405 everyone is entitled to their personal opinion, I suppose that includes myself.

@lynnecharbon405 if they were illegal to sell, they would just end up in the trash. A much worse fate.

Do you know their history? Whose were they? Have you contacted the War Museum?
Jan 15Reply

jimstwilliams
@macneilpi I have no history on them. I presume that the identification Ison the reverse and I've never lifted them from their mounts.

@lynnecharbon405 not really. I would love to own something like this. Its a piece of military history and worth keeping alive. I am a big supporter of all veterans and military, nothing dishonourable about purchasing or selling historical war medals. Unless you’re doing it with intentions of stealing valour. Now that is disgusting.

How about instead of selling, you be like this guy...

Or you could donate the medals to TMM where they will be preserved and respected.

@jenn25565, a lot of hungry kids in the late 40’s and 50’s got something to eat because their father sold his war medals. It was even worse for the children of WW1 veterans. Our Canadian veterans have a history of being treated poorly after they did our governments’ bidding.
