Set of 6 Vintage Sarreguemines France Divided Basket Weave Fondue Plates Mid Century Modern French Majolica Kitchenware. Coloures blue, green, yellow, olive green, 2 red. All questions are welcome. Item Background/History: Sarreguemines began in the late 1700's as a small family-owned operation located in France and was established during the French Revolution. In 1800, the factory came under new ownership with one of its prominent customers being Napoleon 1. In the late 19th Century, the factory manufactured many of the tiles found in the Paris Metro which began operations in the early 20th Century. The factory ceased operations in 2007, however, there are some manufacturers who have continued producing some pieces with the molds of Sarreguemines to present.
