This beautiful set of twelve 1970’s Liberty Blue Staffordshire plates, made in England, features the historic Independence Hall in Philadelphia & George Washington at Valley Forge in Pennsylvania, USA. All plates are stamped ‘Liberty Blue - Original Copper Engravings of Historic Colonial Scenes Printed on Staffordshire Ironstone - Detergent + Dishwasher Safe - Made in England’ Dinner plates are stamped ‘Independence Hall’ produced in 1975-1976 to commemorate the American Bicentennial. Lunch plates are stamped ‘Washington At Valley Forge’ produced between 1975-1981 displaying a significant moment from the American Revolutionary War. This set is a stunning example of blue & white transferware featuring a gorgeous boarder of florals. We also have a matching Set of 4 ‘Independence Hall’ Dinner Plates available in our shop! The set is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks, etc. the lunch plates have no crazing at all, and two dinner plates have no crazing and two have very minor crazing only seen from the underside Measurements: Lunch Plates: 8 5/8” diameter Dinner Plates: 9 7/8” diameter Vintage items often have small manufacturing flaws and/or signs of use; these do not affect the integrity of the item but is something to be mindful of when purchasing.
