Set of Two Dessau Brass/Black Candlestick Holders

Black painted metal with gold brass accents. Both have velvet non-skid bottoms to the bases. They are quite heavy! They both have scuffs to the paint, and wear present, but in my opinion, it adds to the vintage look. Measure approx 10.25 inches tall. The bases might be wood?
