"She Sells Seashells by the Seashore" 1950s Wicker Bag

This charming vintage white wicker box bag is an underwater scene with various seashells, starfish and seaweed all placed on a gold net open weave fabric. The entire decorated panel is edged in fancy gold trim. The gold bordered panel measures 10" x 6". There is a clear layer of plastic that covers and protects the underwater scene. This bag is extremely rare and collectible. It features pearlized lucite handles and lucite bands that protects the top edges. The interior is white plastic with a zip pocket. It was made in Hong Kong. There is minor wear: markings, and a tiny tear in one interior corner that could be easily repaired, the stitching is a bit loose but could likely be resewn. The exterior of the bag is good vintage condition, the interior needs some TLC.
