His parents immigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal, Quebec. Once in Montreal, Gustave found a job as a jewelry salesman which resulted in his interest in designing his own jewelry. Gustave used only the finest materials he could find, such as Austrian Swarovski crystals and superior findings. His jewelry was in Paris, London, as well as jeweler's across Canada.
