Signed DWE David Emke OOAK Original Miniature Oil Painting on Pebble Brooch About .75” X 1.25” A unique vintage brooch featuring an intricate miniature landscape, handpainted in oil on a smooth grey slate skipping stone by David Emke (b. 1948) of Chelsey, Ontario, who was known for his pebble paintings of local scenes in Grey / Bruce County in the mid 1980s. Once featured in local tea & curio shops in nearby cottage communities in the region, as well as in the Maritimes (where examples are often found), these beautifully executed, impossibly tiny works of art are now highly collectible.
