This handcrafted studio pottery plate is a signed piece by Grant Finck (b. 1958, Edenhope, Victoria), a noted Australian ceramic artist whose work is held in public collections across Australia. It features expressive, plant-inspired brushwork in earthy brown and black tones on a speckled stoneware base. The underside bears Finck’s distinctive “FG” mark, consistent with a larger platter documented in the Victorian Collections archive.
Made circa 1980s–1990s, this late 20th-century piece reflects the rustic, organic aesthetic characteristic of Australian studio ceramics during that time.
