A simple but lovely piece that looks to me like a bejewelled sunrise or sunset. Crafted of sterling silver with enhancements in 10K gold, the brooch measures about 1-2/3 inches across. Marked JPA 925 - 10K on the back. It's in great condition, with the brushed finish of the sun hiding any scratches. I have found similar silver and gold pieces with the same maker's mark, but have yet to track down any information about JPA. Your input is welcome!

csillaekes Hello Jennifer, I was browsing modernist sterling brooches when I saw your listing. JPA was the registered mark of “Jules Perrier Artisan Inc., St-Jean, Que.”, according to my Canadian trademark index from 1996-97.

jennifer_towell @csillaekes Hi there - thanks for this! I am more familiar with Jules Perrier's enamel pieces, which were signed with his full name, in script. But it looks like you're quite right - he created pieces like this in silver and gold, as well!!
