maxim_masks More information: CARE GUIDE. Yes, you can hand wash or put this into the washing machine inside a mesh bag. Before you dry, take out the wet silk mask and roll it inside a dry towel to remove excess moisture ('towel press' to minimize wrinkles). Then you can tumble dry on low or leave to air dry. Shantung is like a raw silk fabric, a nice crisp texture that eventually softens over multiple washes yet still maintain its firm texture. It will be more rigid than silk satin pillows or sleepwear. Think of more like silk dress shirts or brocade dresses. Those are shantung. If you're looking for a silk mask with structure, this is it.

maxim_masks Personally, the shantung silk masks are the ones that I wear in the summer. Especially on 32C days without good AC in the building. Compared to my standard options for my cotton face masks, these silk masks are waaay more breathable and comfortable for hyper allergenic skin.
