Silver Plated Butter Dish and Platter

A silver plated butter dish along with a (non matching) platter. The dish comes in 3 pieces: a lid, the base, and a plastic insert for the butter itself. The dish is ringed with flowers and leaves and is silver on a steel base. The platter the dish sits on was made by Essay Canada back in the 1970s and is decorated with a leaf and checker pattern along with ornate handles; the base metal is copper. The platter needs polishing, as does the underside of the butter dish and there is some tarnish on the top of the lid. The butter dish with the lid is 2 3/4" tall, 7 5/8" wide and 4 3/8" deep. The platter is 9 1/2" by 6 1/2".
