Silvertone vintage brooch

Silvertone brooch (not sterling - I’m not sure what the metal is) with a pink flecked stone in the middle. This is an odd piece: if you look at the back, it’s obvious this used to feature a person’s head in the middle, and someone has covered this with the stone and some metal leaves. Interesting! It’s a little over 2” long (see photo).
